多氯联苯 (polychlorinated biphenyls, PCBs) 是斯德哥尔摩公约限制的首批持久性有机污染物 (persistent organic pollutants, POPs) 之一，自 20 世纪 80 年代被大批禁用，但残留在环境中的PCBs至今仍难以被彻底清除。

OH-PCBs是环境样品中最常见的 PCBs 的代谢/反应产物之一。内分泌干扰效应是OH-PCBs 最典型的毒性效应，很多 OH-PCBs结构上与天然雌激素、甲状腺激素类似，进入生物体后能干扰机体雌激素、雄激素和甲状腺素等的水平或功能[1]。

越来越多证据表明残留在动物体内的 OH-PCBs 或具有比母体化合物更强的毒性[2]，此类物质对生物体的潜在影响以及由此带来的新的毒理学问题使其成为内分泌干扰领域的研究热点。
